The KIA Tennis Series, an event that is geared towards developing youngsters’ playing ability, will continue this weekend.
The second tournament of the KIA Tennis Series 2013 will take place over the weekend at Windhoek High School. Action is set to start tomorrow at 14:30, with the young beginners taking the stage in the Mini (service block court) and Midi (half court) categories.
On Saturday at 08:00 players from various age groups and different levels will square off on the full court. The opening tournament of the series kicked off at the end of February and featured an exciting and competitive group of 43 beginners playing on mini and full courts. The Namibia Football Association (NFA) Galz and Goals Festival in Otjiwarongo was a huge success, with 24 teams and almost 300 girls participating in the 7-a-side football tournament for girls last Saturday.
The girls also took part in Kicking Aids Out games, facilitated by SCORE Namibia and visited the health tent provided by the Otjiwarongo State Hospital, to learn more about health risks and how to make healthy choices.

Namibian Sun was at Saturday’s boxing to capture all the drama and excitement, which culminated in the crowning of our third world champ.
March 2, 2013 will go down in history as one of the most exhilarating nights of boxing action, as Paulus ‘The Rock’ Ambunda wrestled the WBO World Bantamweight title from Thailand’s Pungluang Sor Singyu.
Pundits and fans alike agreed the fight was one of the most exciting to have ever taken place in the country.
