Bayern Munich are now just three wins away from their 23rd German league title, after fighting back for a 3-2 win over Fortuna Duesseldorf on Saturday to leave them 20 points clear in the Bundesliga. With nine matches left this season, Bayern are set to claim the record for the earliest confirmed Bundesliga title victory and lift their first silverware since May 2010. Duo lead fight back against Sri Lanka

An unbroken 153-run stand for the fifth wicket between Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim helped Bangladesh to reach 330 for four at tea on the third day of the first test against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium.

Bangladesh looked set to avoid the follow on, but still trailed by 240 runs after Sri Lanka posted a mammoth 570 for four declared in the first innings.

The leading official believes that wrestling is likely to be kept on the Olympic programme, when the next phase of IOC voting gets underway.

Leading Olympic official John Coates was ‘amazed’ that wrestling was recommended for the axe from the Summer Games last month and thinks the sport still has a very good chance of retaining its place in the programme.

The Australian is one of 14 members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board who voted in Lausanne to recommend wrestling be dropped from the Games after 2016.
